Loudoun County school seeks to leverage upcoming anniversary for major fundraising effort
Washington, DC, September 15, 2022—TDC president and chief creative officer David Franek announced today that The Hill School of Middleburg, VA has engaged TDC to develop branded assets for its upcoming 100-year anniversary celebration in 2026 and for a range of communications materials for ongoing admissions efforts. The run up to 2026 will include a major capital campaign to fund recruitment and retention of faculty, tuition assistance, program and resource development, and Hill’s long-term financial health.
Franek said, “The Hill School is a one-of-a-kind educational destination that offers the kind of learning experience and environment any parent would wish for their children. We’re grateful for the opportunity to develop materials and messaging that will not only help expand Hill’s outreach to prospective students and families but also strengthen Hill’s position as one of the pre-eminent PreK–8 independent schools in Northern Virginia.”
While Hill’s Centennial celebration is four years away, it will be an immediate priority in TDC’s scope of work. TDC will embark on a preliminary discovery dialogue with school leadership, faculty, students, and possibly other audiences in Hill’s community. This will comprise in-person focus groups and individual interviews that will help inform branding concepts and messaging themes for Centennial campaign communications as well as for ongoing admissions support materials.
The first phase of TDC deliverables will focus on Centennial materials that include a Centennial logo and campaign look-and-feel, a campaign look book, a messaging platform, a microsite, and a video. The second phase will encompass an admissions-focused look book, co-curricular program cards, print ads, video content for email marketing and Hill’s website, and a video for newly accepted students and families. A third and final phase will include search engine marketing, digital ads, and social media components.
