Healthcare Partnership Looks to Grow Presence among Northern Virginia Businesses

TDC brought on board by Innovation Health, a joint enterprise by Aetna and Inova

Washington, DC, August 26, 2014—The Design Channel (TDC) was tapped by Innovation Health, a new health insurance enterprise co-developed by industry leaders Aetna and Inova, to provide marketing assistance in Northern Virginia. Innovation Health offers affordable, high quality health coverage designed to meet the needs of small businesses, and will work with TDC to develop a campaign to identify and engage prospects.

“Health insurance is a critically important issue for small businesses,” says David Franek, TDC president. “It’s remarkable that two of the biggest names in healthcare have stepped up to create a company, in Innovation Health, that provides plans specifically for businesses that often struggle to offer employees viable options. We’re very excited to be a part of this effort.”

Innovation Health offers employee-sponsored plans that not only have a 15 to 30% cost advantage over competitive plans but also come with an improved member experience and service advantages resulting from the coordinated networks and resources of Aetna and Inova. TDC will assist Innovation health in targeting businesses in Fairfax County, Virginia, focusing primarily on companies with 10 to 100 employees. While various communications media are being considered, direct mail will be a primary channel for the prospecting campaign.

Aetna provides health benefits to more than 600,000 members in Virginia and serves an estimated 44 million people nationwide. Inova is a not-for-profit healthcare system based in Northern Virginia that serves more than 2 million people each year in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

With offices in Washington, DC; Baltimore, Maryland; and Atlanta, Georgia, The Design Channel (www.thedesignchannel.com) provides a full range of integrated marketing services, including branding, marketing communications and advertising, and broadcast and interactive media.
