Located in rural Montgomery County, Maryland, Barnesville School offers an independent education for K–8 children that goes beyond standardized public programs. The school recognized that it needed a stronger brand presence to recruit new students against other independent schools in the area and to better support its new name, “Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences,” moving forward. It enlisted The Design Channel to redesign and develop an array of branding and marketing tools.
We developed a graphic identity that reflected both the rolling hills surrounding the campus and the school’s unique cross-curricular approach, as well as a tagline: “Imagine. Explore. Grow. Achieve.” We also created a completely new look and feel for the school’s website to give it a more up-to-date, impactful, and sophisticated appeal to prospective families. Additional materials we created included brochures, Open House postcards, print and online ads, and an ‘elevator speech’ flyer.
