TDC to design digital toolkit for Discover the Next project
Washington, DC, December 7, 2021—David Franek, TDC president and chief creative officer, announced today that the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has hired the agency to develop and design a “digital toolkit” publication detailing brand elements and parameters for the organization’s Discover the Next campaign. Funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the campaign is a joint project led by CASE, the American Council on Education, and the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges to assist higher education institutions in their efforts to reinforce among their audiences the many benefits that they have on lives, communities, and the nation as a whole.
Franek said, “The role of higher education in our society is being scrutinized more closely than ever before. The Discover the Next campaign will help colleges and universities articulate the immense value they bring to the world. The ‘toolkit’ will enable these institutions to craft their narratives and stories in ways that work best in a variety of widely used digital formats.”
The digital toolkit will include an appeal for the higher education sector to become more involved in touting its contributions to a wide range of fields, as well as suggestions for topics that resonate most strongly among college alumni, parents, prospective students, advancement professionals, and other education stakeholders. Content will also include a comprehensive guide to Discover the Next brand elements such as logos, typography, color palette, and photos that can be used in various communications as well as recommendations for social media posts and hashtag usage. The toolkit is scheduled to be completed in mid-January 2022.
