Society of Interventional Radiology seeks stronger branding for clinical curricula
Washington, DC, October 15, 2020—TDC President and Chief Creative Officer David Franek announced today that the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) has awarded TDC a new assignment aimed at bolstering the identity and overall brand cohesiveness of the organization’s clinical education curricula. The curricula encompasses dedicated education and training programs for interventional radiologists in four specialized areas: venous disease, peripheral arterial disease, interventional oncology, and stroke.
“We’re thrilled that SIR has chosen to continue working with us on their education products,” said Franek. “Through our previous work with them, we know that interventional radiology offers significant patient benefits and we’re excited about expanding the awareness and recognition of SIR’s clinical education.”
In early 2020, TDC developed branding and communications assets for Residency Essentials and Fundamentals, both of which are core education components for IR residents, as well as for VIRTEX, a data registry designed exclusively for IR practitioners and specialty partners. TDC also designed SIR’s most recent annual report as well as branding components for SIR’s upcoming annual scientific meeting taking place in March 2021.
The clinical curricula work will kick off with a discovery phase involving interviews with physicians comprising a SIR multidisciplinary task force to gain a deeper understanding of perceptions surrounding current curricula branding and messaging. Findings from the discovery will then inform the development of individual value propositions and identities for each of the clinical specializations, as well as an overall value proposition and identity for the collective offerings as a whole. Additional assets that will be created include a brand architecture guide outlining how the specialized clinical curricula fits into SIR’s broader portfolio of education offerings, as well as branding and positioning for SIR’s virtual angioclubs, a series of SIR member-generated case studies and training on common IR treatments.
The work is scheduled to commence in early November and continue into April 2021.
